Hi everyone. I have an iPhone 8 Pluswith a damaged screen that is covered by insurance. With all Apple Stores now closed indefinitely, is there any option to mail the phone directly to Apple for repair/replacement, with the new unit mailed back to me? I'm thinking not, but wanted to check.

Ok. The phone (my son's) is covered by T-Mobile's insurance. We went to a local T-Mobile store, and were told that Apple handled repairs and that we had to bring the phone into an Apple store, which obviously is impossible right now. That answer actually surprised me, since I thought T-Mobile's insurer (Assurant, I believe) handled such things directly.
Apple doesn't provide insurance repair. You need to go through the insurance company.
You need to go through Assurant.
Apple will not repair the phone, they will sell you an out of warranty replacement.
