Apple Support Disappointing

Has anyone been getting the run-around about their iPhone? I have been having a continuing iPhone crashing black screen spinning wheel of death then back to the start. Have asked Apple numerous times about this at Genius Bar & on phone. Brought back to factory settings. Problem continues Then Apple has a “tech” call me every few days. Problem persists Finally March 13th tech sez oh it must be the phone. Come to Apple Store for an exchange. He made an appt. March 15th. I arrive at the store, all Apple Stores closed. WAS NOT NOTIFIED!!! Now Apple wants me to do a quick exchange by mail. Oh, but I have to pay replacement cost up front & will be refunded once “bad” phone is shipped back. Discuss

Go Here: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch Won't Turn On or is Frozen - Apple Support


As it Reads for iPhone 8 or later:

  • If your screen is black or frozen: iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.


  • If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up: iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.

Request Mail-In Service:

Stores are down, as you would suspect, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. It's for safety of all. Put that thought aside. :)


So, request a mail-in box. It would be shipped to you. You would send it in to Apple. Their engineers would look at it. Then, they would diagnose the issue. Finally, they would fix it if Terms & Conditions are met, and then send to back to you, No delivery fees --- all is paid on Apple's part.
