App camera and microphone access

When setting up face time and messenger I did not allow access to camera and microphone. I want access now but do not know how. When I go to ‘privacy’ - camera and microphone, both face time and messenger are not on the list of apps that have requested Access. Eg messenger and FaceTime is not there to toggle on or off. How can it get access now. Thank you

Hello Cazza58,

I understand when you were setting up FaceTime and Messenger you didn't allow access to the microphone and camera but want to allow them access now but don't know how to give them access. You've come to the right place for help.

To allow access to the microphone and camera, go to the Settings app and choose the app you want to allow access to. Scroll till you see Microphone and enable and do the same with Camera.

With the FaceTime app you don't have to allow access to the microphone or camera because its already turned on when you set up the app.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great day!
