How to effectively clean macbook screen

Here are some of my macbook’s specs for a start:

MacBook Pro 2019 13-inch 8GB RAM 512TB storage and 4 thunderbolt ports

hi,

I have great difficulty cleaning my screen.

i have followed various guides, including apple’s but it couldn’t wipe the dirt away.

they look like white colour translucent stuff (I didn’t touch the screen) and they mysteriously appear. I also don’t eat in front of my macbook or stain it. Could someone help me to suggest ways to clean my screen?

if possible, could anyone also recommend a good screen protector that I can buy online too?

thanks in advance.

That sounds like a chemical cleaner was used. If so that is permanent damage and, unless you bought AppleCare+ with the computer, expect a very large repair bill. Chemical damage is not covered by the standard Apple one-year warranty. Expect to pay US$500-600 for a replacement upper unit; the screen is not separately serviceable.

If you did not use a chemical cleaner and the computer is under warranty, call Apple support and arrange to send the computer for their evaluation. All the physical stores are closed so the Genius Bar option is not available at this time.

Hmmm these white spots appeared mysteriously when I was carrying my macbook in my bag with its laptop bag on and when I reach my destination sometimes they appear. I try to wipe it, sometimes they go away and sometimes they don’t. The only other thing I tried cleaning with is using a slightly wet cloth to wipe it but also failed
