JBL Flip 4 Speakers & Bluetooth Connectivity

My pair of JBL Flip 4 speakers (purchased at the Apple Store) worked perfectly with my MacBook Pro running OS Catalina until about 2 weeks ago. Now they will not stay connected for more than a few seconds and will not play any sound. I have tried all the recommended trouble shooting. I cannot find an update for the speakers. Please help.

MacBook air connects to bluetooth speaker but doesn't play sound (post Monterey upgrade) Hi - upgraded to Monterey yesterday. .Tried to play music through my Bluetooth JBL speaker today, and although it shows that it's connected, the sound only comes from the built in MacBook speakers instead of the JBL speaker. This wasn't an issue with Big Sur. Is it a known issue with Monterey? I've tried turning bluetooth toggle on and off, restarting the computer, but nothing seems to help. Suggestions? Thanks!

I have a 2015 MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.2 The internal speakers work fine until I connect a Bluetooth device then if I disconnect the internal speakers no longer work. It doesn't matter what the bluetooth device is I tried it with different wireless headphones. With previous OSs I used to restart Safari but now I must restart the computer to get this fixed. Anything obvious to try?

Key "SMC" into the search. An Apple article will explain how to reset. SMC stands for system management controller.

Try resetting the SMC. If that does not help, I would consider a warranty claim.
