Bluetooth Not Available

My Bluetooth on my MacBook Air has been malfunctioning, it says Bluetooth Not Available with a squiggled line through it. It won't let me turn it on or off or connect any device when this happens. Occasionally it will work normally, and then right when I connect a bluetooth device like headphones, it becomes unavailable again.

Reset the SMC.
