How can I use Migration Assistant for only certain files

I just need to transfer the CONTACTS from one mac to another. Is it p[ossible to use mi8gration assistant for this purpose?

If you still have access to your old mac:

Select "All Contacts" (or whichever group you want), and choose File->Export->Contacts Archive

Copy the exported file (with extension .abbu) to the new mac, open Contacts and File->Import
