Hello,

First, you can check your battery status in the Settings app through Setting > Battery > Battery Health. Any level under 80% indicates that you could very well experience battery problems due to aging of the battery.

If your battery starts draining much faster after a software update and the battery health is fine, you could try restoring your iPhone using Finder (on a Mac) or iTunes (on a PC). You can find instructions on how to do that at:

Please ensure you first make a backup in iCloud so you can restore it after restoring the iPhone.

Help. My 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 now has a battery life of 2 hours of safari use compared with 8 before I upgraded to 13.4.. I recently changed to a brand new battery, which has excellent health. I’ve turned off all the background activity in tips and done a full wipe and restore and nothing helps. Clearly the iOS. What are Apple going to do re recognising/fixing the issue. At a time of lockdown this is a joke.

Telling us it might be a wifi or App update issue is ignorant! We downloaded the “upgrade” and the battery is draining like a mother.. before the did download it wasn’t..I did everyone of your so called fixes and it didn’t work, like many many many others...so fix this with an iOS upgrade or don’t and I like many others will get a Samsung!! Thanks!!

No, it isn't ignorant, it is based on real world experience on a decade of iOS use and it is smart.

If you tried everything I suggested and after a week your battery use hasn't settled then contact Apple Support directly by clicking on the Contact Support link on the top right of this page. Or did you already do that also.

In the future you should really read any Terms of Use you agree to. This is a user to user technical support site operated by Apple. I can't fix anything. And i you, like many others (what kind of polling did you use?) want to buy a Samsung I'm all for it, go buy one now. They never have battery problems.

That's really not helpful and comes across as sarcasm. My iPhone 7 has been charging very slowly and draining very quickly since the iOS13.4 update - it is clearly an issue. This combined with the disappearance of the magnifying glass cursor tool when editing on the phone has drained my confidence in Apple as a company and I won't be buying any more of their products until we see an upturn in their acceptance of responsibility for these problems. Remember, we've been here before with the MacBook Air keyboard failures.

@Keith Doherty3: "The person that marked to issue solved was one just like yourself experiencing battery issues and griping loudly and not one of those looking to try and help and not an Apple or level 7 above as you put it !"

I was under the impression from the short time I've been here, that only Apple or Forum Moderators can mark threads as solved.

Is that not the case?

If so, maybe one of you can unmark it, as the problem clearly isn't solved.

I also note my entire previous post seems to have been removed in full.

This doesn't endear the Moderators/Apple to users like me, and the dozens of others in this thread, when posts you personally dislike are just eradicated in full.

It's ever so slightly fascistic.

Laurence no it’s not the case anyone can mark thread solved . Usually through not always its post initiator .

As this thread is now 12 pages long it’s easy to loose your own previous comments .

Again just to make it clear Level 7s and above not not in the pay of Apple and these forums moderated with a very light touch in the main.

No, only the Original Poster can mark a post as solved and they can also mark two helpfuls. Other people can create additional helpfuls by clicking on the helpful box.

No, his previous one was deleted with some of mine. And I'm moderated with a light touch that is a surprise to me. Also, if you go back and read the Terms of Use, there are other reasons for things being deleted.

@LaurenceFinch, solved and helpfuls cannot be removed, even by the moderators. There are articles and the Terms of Use that will help you get up to speed.

I would add a small qualification to your excellent post. The Host do not rely on reports alone. They also read posts (all of them!) and spot things that they deem inappropriate. Also, just because a post gets reported doesn't mean it gets deleted.
