Experiencing the same issue after update to ios 13.4.1, notice the battery drains like crazy, both on my ipad and my iphone. My ipad is on most of the time through the day, prior to the update I rarely got to 50% after a full day of use, now I'm down to 50% after a few hours of use, I literally see the % drop within minutes one by one, its nuts. Apple please fix this issue.

Does apple ever look on these posts?

This is a user-to-user forum. Apple's participation is largely limited to making sure people adhere to the Terms of Use. There are also a small number of Apple Staff who are charged with answering questions in certain forums that have gone unanswered for more than 12 hours and which can largely be answered by a reference to a support article. So, no, they are not reading this thread for feedback or complaints.

If you want to discuss the matter with Apple, use the Contact Support link at the top right of every page of these forums. Note that, due to the current crisis, wait times to talk to someone are longer than usual.

I contacted the support one week after the last update, because I was thinking that if thousands of people were calling the support for the same battery problem, Apple would maybe consider it a real issue. The support itself was helpless, I received the same common advice as we get sometimes in this (and other) discussions: check the applications and the health in the battery settings, reduce the background applications, disable mail, disable locations, etc, all the things I already tried before and which make a smartphone no more smart at all…

I had an interesting reaction with my phone, an original SE. Restore phone from Finder to iOS only and no apps or data but still had the drain. I put the phone into lockdown and disabled everything I could find, still the drain happened. I did another restore phone, installed the gmail app and enabled low power mode, still drain and battery was down to 20% by the evening when it should be 90%+ with no use apart from email. I kept this up for a few days, charging overnight, unplug the charger in the morning and enable low power mode and still there was drain. Then yesterday the drain didn't happen and it was 93% last night. No drain again this morning so I disabled low power mode and late afternoon it's 93%. I will add my apps bit by bit if this keeps up.

BTW I had no problem with the same iOS version 13.4.1 on XR or equivalent iPadOS. Only my SE.

I am facing the same problem, my battery drain 1% per minute while I am writing this 2 percent dropped while in past i used use it for almost all day just few days before new update. It is very annoying Apple should be responsible and fix this issue . We don’t have money to replace the old products with new one every time they update their software it is a shame for you . If you continue doing so soon you will lose this market.

April 23rd. The company has just confirmed a massive iOS security hole which impacts almost every iPhone/iPad on the planet.

Following the publication of a devastating report from security firm ZecOps (covered here by Forbes), which claimed that every iPhone running a version of iOS 6 or newer is vulnerable to remote attacks, Apple has now confirmed the problem is real.

Updated iPhone to 13.5 & battery drain about the same which is extremely high (unto 3% a minute) although I know know that after I clicked the message to say my battery is at 10% it will shut down which it didn't do before.

Left my SE on charge last night like normal but came down this morning to find the battery had been at 100% for 2.5 hours & yet the phone was probably at about 30 degrees C.

For a company that seems to want to be seen to be carbon neutral they will need to install considerably more solar panels to cover the massive amount of additional power that IOS 13 requires worldwide.

Yup call Apple support, do a reset then play around with your apps for weeks trying to find the culprit ( i know it was working before). Then reset it again then take off every single mail and work application and leave it on the counter. But don’t forget to shut it down as even in standby it will drain your battery

This is an absolute disgrace. I can only support all the reports about massive battery drain (iphone 11 pro). And as I have nothing new to contribute, I still want to post this so that the number of reported cases increases.

What a bad customer support by Apple, not even acknowledging the problem! I was just about to replace my 2018 ipad pro (same issue) with a new ipad pro. But NO WAY! Rubbish product. And rubbish support!

I have the problem on my XS Max. There are no less than 5 threads on this issue and no less than 1,000 users on THIS thread indicating they have the same issue.

Googling "13.4.1 battery" renders several articles as well as a large number of threads on both this forum and others.

tldr: there is a well documented bug at least for 13.4.1 (others seeing it as early as 13.4)

Yes, I'm with you 100% Bob. There are just some people on this Community that for some reason constantly try to dismiss anyone's bug report as "fake". I've seen it over the past 6 months from the same 3 users.

Fact: 13.4.1 has a battery drain issue for me. Fact: Other users have reported it occuring on 13.4. Fact: People are stating that it is still present in the 13.5 Developer Beta 4.

But regardless of these facts, people want to dismiss them as "fake" for seemingly no reason simply because they don't see it on "their" specific device at that specific time.
