Haptic Feedback on Macbook Air 2018 touchpad Not working

Hey after updating to osx version 10.15.4 haptic feedback stopped working. Have tried SMC reset, PRAM reset and also operating in Safe Mode and trial with a new user.

The problem persists. Please do assist on how to get the haptic feedback back.

Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + Shift + R will boot the installer for the OS which originally shipped with the computer and hopefully doesn't include any new updates from the past week or so. This test saves you from performing a clean install since it is an older known OS and there are no third party apps to interfere.

I guess you could also try booting the Apple Diagnostics to look for issues. Use the trackpad to navigate and click items. This is outside any OS as well and could be another good test. Plus maybe the diagnostic will actually detect an issue with the Trackpad. I don't know why I didn't think of the diagnostics earlier.

You've done some great troubleshooting so far.

Does the trackpad work at all? If you attempt to click on something does it respond? Can you use "Tap to click"?

Try booting into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + Shift + R. This should boot the installer for the original macOS which shipped with the laptop which should bypass any issues with the latest Catalina patches. Does the Trackpad work here?
