pairing and apps

I have the Apple watch 3 and really like it. Ialso use ips13.4. when I go to open pedometer my smartphone says not available because need ios of 6 or more???

Also, when i want to do something in activities, my watch tells me open Activities on my iphone 11 but I already did???
