Did you delete or deactivate (link at the bottom) it. Hopefully the second. But if not see
how to Delete your Apple ID Account https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208504 This document says, in effect, that "deleting your Apple ID [eventually] is permanent. I found this related authoritative statement elsewhere (can't remember exactly where):
"If you deleted your Apple ID by requesting deletion through the Apple website and it has been over seven days then there is no way for you to restore it. it was in the terms and conditions you agreed to before deleting it. If however it was deleted in the past few days- you can restore it by providing Apple Support with the recovery key you were prompted to save."
Your answer apparently is no. But, if you don't try, it can't happen. You can contact Apple support.
