Problem with Safari & google classroom

I am a teacher using google classroom for the first time during this new remote learning situation. Everything was working fine until the Safari 13.1 update that happened yesterday 3/25. Now when I'm on google classroom, none of the files will display on the page and when I click on them it says "couldn't preview file, there was a problem displaying this image." Also when I tried clicking on a video link in my gmail account I got another error message "An error occurred. Please try again later."

Can anyone please help me fix this?

Try Safari/Preferences/Privacy and uncheck Prevent cross-site tracking.

Yes. Thank you. It does work when using a different browser. However, I'm looking for how to solve the problem within Safari because I prefer to use Safari.

I've had the same problem but this solution has only solved the opening of jpegs, movie clips - even those which we have recorded on an iOS device refuse to open. We still have to download to view
