apple tv two factor authentication

tried entering code along with Apple ID password as instructed and still can't logon to iCloud or iTunes on my Apple TV device.

Apple TV 2 Can't Sign in to iCloud?? Hi I'd been having a few issues with my Apple TV 2 so I reset it, I'm now having issues signing into iCloud. I can sign into the iTunes Store no problem with my Apple ID on the Apple TV 2, when I try to sign in with the same details to iCloud I get a message saying: The account name or password are incorrect. Please try again. My details are correct, also when trying to sign in I get a six digit code as part of Two factor Authentication on my iPhone. Nowhere pops up on the Apple TV 2 to enter the six digit code. I've been to the Apple Support Pages and it seems that I can't turn off Two factor Authentication. 1st Gen Apple TV won't take apple ID I'm not able to log into iTunes or the cloud from my first gen apple ID b/c it says my apple ID/pw are invalid/incorrect. Is this b/c I have 2 factor authentication turned on for my devices? Is there a work around?

Can’t sign in to iCloud on Apple TV 2 (A1469) i logged out of iCloud and can’t log back in. My password is correct, and 2-factor is on. I get a 2-factor code from my phone, enter it, and subsequently I get the following error: Unable to sign in iCloud is not currently available. Try again later. It is running Apple TV Software 7.9 (8163).

Hello,

You will need to generate a secure code from another device and type it after your password. Example: password123456
