You are confusing the Apple TV + streaming service for the Apple TV app. Please visit www.apple.com/tv and review all of the services and products Apple provides for TV. They include:

• Apple TV HD (hardware)
• Apple TV 4K (hardware)
• Apple TV (app)
• Apple TV + (streaming TV service)
• AirPlay
• Accessories

For those that have not done their due diligence it is easy to misunderstand and get the products confused and not understand what each product includes.

The Apple TV+ subscription only covers Apple TV+ content, not shows from other studios, like ‘Friends’.

You may be signing out of your account and that could cause it. However you may want to contact Apple Care to see if they can help you locate where the problem is.
