Trading in Old iPad for credit towards a new one

Hi there,

I am looking to purchase a new iPad... I have an old one and was hoping to possibly use it to trade in to get some money off of my new one. However, with the stores being closed right now (which I totally understand and am very grateful for as I am a nurse) I know I can only bring in my old iPad to a store. I was wondering If I gave you the serial number for my iPad if you would be able to tell me approximately what you think the value would be that I would be given to put towards a new iPad. I am trying to decide if it is worth it to wait until the stores open up or if my old iPad is worth nothing and I should just purchase a new one now.

I appreciate any feedback,

Connor

Apple trade-in values are perhaps unlikely to be attractive - and during the current closure of Apple Stores, you are limited to a mail-in service for assessment of trade-in value.

If you can, you may get more money, towards the purchase price of a new device, if you attempt to sell privately. Either way, remember to prepare the device properly before it leaves your possession:
