iPhone call waiting

I have an iPhone 6s and I use Consumer Cellular for phone service. I need to activate call waiting but I can’t find the correct setting. Does anyone have an answer? Consumer Cellular directed me to Apple.

Call Waiting is a carrier specific feature. They should inform you that they have the feature and your plan entitles you to have call waiting. Have they released any Carrier Settings which you have not installed?

Carrier Update (Required): Released by your Cellular Service provider (Carrier Update), affects your Outgoing / Incoming calls, SMS, Data etc..

How to Update Carrier Settings

You can manually check for and install a carrier settings update with these steps: Make sure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, you'll see an option to update your carrier settings.

I am not sure why they directed you to Apple Inc.
