Macbook Pro USB-C ports still charge but do not recognize adapters
My Macbook Pro 13" (2018) with the 4 thunderbolt ports has two ports that do not work. They were working fine before I plugged in a friend's ac adapter to charge it recently. I tried plugging it in to two ports and now both these ports do not recognize my HDMI adapter nor my USB hub. It appears that my macbook is still able to charge from these affected ports after trying it out with my charger (the one that came with the macbook), but nothing else will work with it. The two affected ports are the left/right ones towards the back of the laptop.
I've tried a SMC reset (for the T2 macbooks) along with a NVRAM/PRAM reset but the issue still remains. Does anyone have any other possible fixes for me to try?
