Keeps asking me to log in to a previous apple ID

So I have reset my watch and it shows my current Apple ID in the settings, but when I try to download an app on my phone it asks for the password to my old Apple ID which I no longer use.

Please help!

For your current Apple ID, did you CREATE a NEW one or CHANGE it? See:

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support

If you created a new one, the apps associated with the old Apple ID cannot be transferred to the new Apple ID. You should delete them and then repurchase them with your new Apple ID.

If you properly changed your Apple ID according to the above, then your apps should have transferred over to your new Apple ID and you should not have this problem.

Open your Apple Watch app on your phone and go to “My Watch

Go to Settings/General & turn off Automatic App Install.

Now go back to “My Watch” and scroll to the bottom to see “Available Apps”.

Any apps you see that are trying to install are the culprits causing the notifications!

Delete those apps from your phone, and if necessary reinstall them with your current Apple ID.

Turn Automatic App Install back on if necessary.
