Music app "Syncing Your Library"

Today I connected my iPhone SE to iTunes, something I always dread. I wanted to sync my music having added several more songs to my iTunes library. After been told there was a iOS 13.4 update for my phone, I chose to download. This didn't work and I was forced to do a restore. I did that, and then synced 5800 songs from iTunes, which worked. All the songs were on my local SSD.

Now, the music library works, but at the top there's a bar saying "Syncing Your Library".

It's not syncing it to iTunes, because the iPhone's not connected, so what is it trying to sync to, and how can I stop it? The progress bar doesn't move.

This hasn’t worked for me either. I’m having the same problem! Mine says it’s syncing my music but there’s nothing left to sync and I can’t add any music because there’s no “+” option anywhere... so frustrating

If you have sync library turned On then you cannot sync music using iTunes from your PC. Turn off Sync Library.

Turn on / off Sync Library

With the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, Sync Library is turned on by default. If you turned off Sync Library, you can turn it back on. Just follow the steps below for your device.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings > Music.
  2. Turn off Sync Library.

If you don't subscribe to Apple Music or iTunes Match, you won’t see an option to turn on Sync Library.

If Sync Library is updating or turned off, you'll see a message at the top of the Library tab in the Apple Music app.

I'm also having this issue. I previously have manually synced all music from iTunes, but my new SE 2.0 really transferred everything from my old iPhone to the new one...but I have this same "syncing" issue when there's nothing to sync and I don't have Apple Music on.

It's more of a nuisance, but seems a glitch. I've deleted library on new SE, signed out of iCloud, etc....bar/message still comes back as I began to re-load the library on my phone.

Can someone help or is this just a current iOS glitch?

So, I tried a lot of the stuff other people were suggesting and none of it worked for me. What I did was shut off my WiFi then go into my settings > Apple Music > Toggle off “Show Apple Music”. You should receive a message on the screen that says all your music will be removed, hit okay. All of it is backed up to the cloud anyways. I did that then toggled it back on in the app and my music came back. I hope this helps someone else because I was going crazy.
