I have n apple watch mj3t3b/a which I beleive is compatible with watch os 6 but when I try t update I get watch os is 4.3,2

If your watch is a series 0 or 1st generation watch then it will only update to watchos4 and will not be able to update to watchos6.
Tap on that mj3t3b/a number and if you see A1553 or A1554 then you have a series 0 watch.
