App Store asking for password when updating apps

Hi,

can anyone help... for some reason my iPad has randomly started to ask me for my iCloud password when I press ‘update all’ apps on App Store. It’s happening every time but if I choose to update then apps individually it doesn’t ask me!!

Face I’d is active and doesn’t ask me for a password when installing brand new apps. So I’m not sure why I am being asked for my iCloud password when updating all apps.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Check this setting:

Settings > ScreenTime > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > [Require Password]

- set to Don’t Require

If this setting is instead set to Always Require, you’ll be required to enter your password every time!

Do you have apps on your iPad which were downloaded under a different Apple ID at some time? If you do, this could be the reason. Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID they were downloaded under.
