IPhone XR 13.4 siri
I bought an iPhone XR in dec 2020. When I am playing music Siri won’t work when I tell it to pause music or change songs.

Anyway, go to Settings > Siri & Search. Turn on Listen for "Hey Siri". Then when making your request of Siri, prefix it with "Hey Siri."
