I need an Nvidia card to work on my MacBook Pro 2019. Help?

I do heavy video editing and AMD does not meet the standards I need for a EGPU. I am looking at the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING Graphics Card. Is there a way I can make this card work? I know Nvidia used to work with apple a long time ago. pretty sure Tim Cook ruined the relationship with them. like everything else he does. Anyways any suggestions? I am looking for some guarantees before I purchase the card and make it work for the laptop.

Big issue: MacBook pros have never had a graphics card nor a place to put one. All the video hardware is integral with and soldered to the logic board. Since 2012 the only Mac computer with a slotted GPU is the expensive Mac Pro workstation.

Your only option is an external graphics processing unit, eGPU, and the is a "maybe". See this Apple article on the subject:

Note two things:

1) that only MacBook Pros from 2016 and newer support an eGPU

2) no nVidea cards are supported.

Officially, there's no support for *any* Nvdia graphics card. I believe there used to be a script you could use but I'm not sure of three things:

1) Where it is.

2) If it works with RTX cards (I know it used to work on gtx cards)

3) If it still works and wasn't broken by an update

Essentially, either finding that script (or someone here knowing where it is) is effectively your only choice for getting an Nvdia card to work on a Mac unfortunately.
