I updated my macOS Catalina to 10.15.4 two days back and since then I am having problem of black screen when I open the lid. It remains black for some time and then turns on by itself.

The only solution that really works is the one that apple does not support: downgrade to 10.15.3 There is a still unacknowledged bug in 10.15.4 that crashes the display driver in clamshell mode. I had to roll-back 10 machines until now.
