iPad screen went from normal, to three light sources on the left side, to fully black

I have been reading pad fixes for the ipad screen going dark, but mine went from normal, to three light sources on the left side, to fully black in the time it took me to look up solutions to the blackening screen. What - if anything, can be done?

Hi,

This happened to my old iPad as well. It’s most likely a sign of age. LCD screens can get problems once they get old. It also could be because of a drop that loosened a display connector on the inside of your iPad. That’s what happened on my iPad, as I remember the screen went weird right after I had dropped it on a hardwood floor. If it’s a software problem, you could try restarting your iPad, holding down the power button for a while until the iPad shuts down and an Apple logo appears on your screen. There are also lots of videos of this on YouTube. If it’s a problem with the actual hardware, not sure what to do from there.

I hope this helps.
