Hi,
I am trying to download MacOS Catalina from the App Store but it won't download - It just shows a progress bar and under that says 'Calculating...'
I have left it all day but has not moved. Strangely the MacOS Catalina update does not show if I go to About This Mac > Softward Update.
I am currently running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Did you try running First Aid? You can also try upgrading while in Safe Mode:

Boot Into Safe Mode
While in safe mode try upgrading. Be sure that you delete any prior downloads of the same installer before re-downloading. You may just have a slightly messed up installer download.

My file vault is already turned of and I’m currently running the 10.13.6 what you thinking?
Do we have to download one after another instead of jumping straight to Catalina?
What does it mean when it says : When Disk Utility loads select the target drive (out-dented entry w/type and size) from the side list.

Mine has worked mate thanks to Kappy I turned it off then turned it on held alt-cmd-R then wait and connect to internet and then just clicked install OS think it’s the second one down. It didn’t work when I tried this yesterday but it has now worked thanks Kappy.
thats what it came up with when trying to run the Apple hardware test it came up with connect to a Wi-Fi I followed that then the screen above appeared.
