Why won't the installer show up for the MacOS Catalina download?

Once I download the MacOS Catalina it does not show up anywhere on my

computer or open the installer. I've tried downloading it multiple times

and it downloads but then disappears and gives me the option to

download again?

8.23gb completed out of 8.23gb

Estimated time remaining : (nothing shows in it and the download bar is in 75%)

I checked application folder and there is no manual install option as well.

Doesn't show up in purchase history as well inside app store.

When I tried safe boot and went to app store to get the updates again it downloads from scratch.

What should be the problem? Should I go with torrents?

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.14

Hello leroydouglas,

Thanks a lot for your valuable time and solution.

I suppose I have clearly mentioned in the Original post that I couldn't find "Install macOS Catalina" inside the application folder.

Anyways I went into Internet recovery mode (cmd + Alt + r) and installed Catalina by "Reinstall Mac OS"

Search in your Applications folder "Install macOS Catalina.app"

or from Terminal copy and paste:

/Applications/Install\ macOS\ Catalina.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall
