Just finished updating and nothing shown in viewer anymore! All I can see is a black screen. No clips, no titles or transitions. What do I need to do to see the clips again in the viewer?
Running on Mojave 10.14.6 I've already deleted the FCPX preferences, deleted all render files and even re-installed the entire app, but still the same! Other then this, everything works perfectly.
Does anyone else had the same issue?
Create a new admin user account, and test in that account. Does the viewer work?
If so, we need to find what in your own account is causing the problem.
Please download and run the diagnostic tool Etrecheck and post its full report here.
Give Etrecheck "Full Disk Access" in System Preferences->Security & Privacy->Privacy.

I don't know if this is the OP's case but there are utilities - notably Dosdude's Mojave Patcher that will enable it.
I have no idea how well it would work but obviously some system functions would be different or excluded so functionality would be compromised. Just a thought.

I've done as you have suggested, created another admin user, but that didn't help ether unfortunately.

I surprised you were able to update the application. I don’t believe a 2011 MacBook suppports the application.
As Tom said, your mac should not be able to run Mojave, and therefore Final Cut Pro 10.4.8.
Can you tell us how you were even able to install Mojave on this mac?
My other apps are running fine and the FCPX 10.4.6 had no issues ether. So 10.4.8 will not going to run on this MacBook anymore? If not, how can I downgrade the app?
That may be how the OP got Mojave installed; I'd be curious to know that too, but FCP won't work as the system is not Metal compatible.

I was trying to revert back to 10.4.6, but I couldn't. I can only download the latest version from the App Store, so I'm stuck.
Do you have a Time Machine backup that has the older version as well as the older versions of the libraries.
I advise you to revert your OS to High Sierra 10.13.6.
Once you do that, you will be able to download FCP X 10.4.6.
