"Am I still on hold?: I called Apple with a problem and I was on hold for almost 30 minutes... suddenly, the music stopped. The call is still “in session” but, am I still on hold? I called and I’m on hold again with a different line but, is the first call still holding or did I some how get cut off with the phone call still in session ?"

Chatting with Apple, Request a Call:
Lots are at home, working out of the house, or out of school playing video games. Point Being: Many have free time to make a call.
Ask for Hardware Help:
Despite a pandemic causing this, I must say that in the past, when needing to talk over the phone, sometimes I just can't get through. So, I select an item that would likely require a chat. Requesting support with your Apple Account would get you to a call-only option. So, work around the call, by selecting something else, perhaps a hardware issue being the case.

Chat with Apple:
Troubleshoot this through a chat. While chatting, request to speak with an Apple Rep. I don't know if it would make the call go through any faster. But, try it and see if you get an instantaneous call, once asked and approved of by the person whom you are chatting with.

- Select: the Topic
- Proceed form there with a chat.
