Iphone 8 Restart Loop

Last night one of my apps was not opening so I decided to restart my phone and go to sleep. When I woke up several hours later it was still restarting with the white screen. I cannot access the lock screen at all. Does anyone know what I should do?

iPhone 8, iOS 13

Try a forced restart:

Press vol up then vol down then press and hold the side/power button till the phone shuts off. Keep holding till you see the Apple logo and then let go.

If not, try an update:

press vol up then vol down then press and hold the side/power button till the phone shuts off. Keep holding even if you see the Apple logo and let go when you see the connect to iTunes/computer logo. Connect your iPhone to your computer, launch iTunes and click update iPhone. If it doesn’t work click Restore iPhone, but restoring will erase all data on the phone.
