2020 April challenge for Apple Watch

Hello everyone,

In face of the current adversity for human kind, most of us are forced to stay at home.

During this endeavor, it is imperative to stay active, and the Apple Watch challenges take a key role in that.

However, I was astonished to see that the April challenge is asking me to walk/run X kms throughout the month. I was expecting it to have been adjusted to the current reality.

Is this something Apple Watch / Activity team will take a look at and adjust?

Cheers,

If someone else didn't like my true comment about where he was I must have missed it. I only saw yours.

Apple won't see any suggestions here. You have to go here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple but given California is locked down like Italy it may be awhile before anyone can do anything about it.

I couldn't find the link for you, but one of the computer trade sites had an article last week about the problems that employees are having working from home due to the top level security Apple has on their systems. Many of the various servers require a connection from inside the building and will not let the employees change things from an outside network connection. This is a good move for security, not as good for changing systems. I would bet money that the awards system has high level security and cannot be accessed at this time by the employees. I'm sure they do care but they also aren't going to lessen their security.

If you have been around Apple very long you would know they are more secretive than the spy agencies around the world. I do think you are wrong.

Probaly they are not the priority but is like to say: we do something and we leave it like it is. We do not care about any more. They work from home, they can do something. Even a message to all users like: we will take in consideration the COVID19 and we will (do something about) when we come back in the office.

it sems like they dont care about their costumers.

am I' m wrong?

I agree. I’m half way through the month, I’ve walked 5k a day and done other exercise in house, and the April goal is effectively too far away so I’m thinking of giving up.

really bad from Apple, given that most of the world is in lock down.

my chance for all monthly awards for the year is effectively over. They did a good thing making collectibles for people who like them, but not adjusting the stretch is weird and demoralising.
