Option key stuck on Apple Magic Keyboard 2...

I use a iMac 18, 3 with Bootcamp (Windows 10), and it comes inclusive with an Apple Magic Keyboard 2. I've been using the keyboard with the iMac for about a year and a half now, and it has been working perfectly. However, a few days ago, the right option button stopped responding when I push it, and when I start using the iMac, it recognises that the option button is pressed down constantly, and so the keyboard does not work. When I try pressing any of the two option buttons, the keyboard still does not work.

I connected the keyboard to my MacBook Air (with MacOS Catalina) to see if the problem was with Windows 10. When it connected, the option logo instantly popped up (I have Sticky Keys on), showing that the option button is indeed stuck and is being pressed constantly. I removed the option key and tried to see if there was anything stuck underneath the keyboard. I didn't find anything, and when I placed the key back, the issue was still not resolved.

I now need help on fixing this issue. I searched online and was not able to find a solution.

Thanks in advanced,

Umar
