ios 13.4 lock/power button and assistive touch issue

I am also having similar issue...with my iPhone 11pro ...it’s really weird...it started from iOS 13.4.1

Following all your tips....assistive touch issue still persists....after iOS 13.4.1 I am facing this problem...hope they solve it in next update 😣

I have the same problem on my iPad. The touch screen fails to work at all and so does the home button. I have to punch in the six-digit code now each time.

Does that also work on the iPad?

I have a solution that finally seems to have worked for me. Go to Settings / Display & Brightness / and turn off Raise to Wake. I haven't had it happen since then.

As an intermittent issue, it was hard to figure out, but i had seen it increase in frequency where i had to restart my phone to fix it. Basically it gets stuck ON. Won't sleep. Side button does nothing, Assistive touch did nothing. But i knew side button still worked as i could take a screenshot etc. Then i started exercising more with it in my pocket and i would pull it out and the screen would once again be stuck on. Won't sleep. Had to restart several times then i tried the above. And, crossing fingers, it hasn't happened again. Even with exercise and frequent in and out of pocket. I almost think it has something to do with the fabric of my shorts and maybe it thinks it is next to my cheek or ? and then glitches. No idea, but it's totally a software issue and this fixed it for me. With my luck, it will start happening again and if it does I will report :) Hope this helps someone.

I was about to my XS to Apple so they can pull it apart to replace the side Button. I never dropped my phone and always kept it in a very good case.

Assistive touch was the temporary solution but I couldn’t let it go...

Tried re-starting multiple times via assistive touch but didn’t work.

Took the risk of turning the device off from the main settings and could not turn it on from the button anymore (scary right?). Luckily I knew that if your phone is off and the battery is not too low, connecting the lighting cable will turn your device on.

After the device started, tried the power button and YES! It worked again!!!

A very simple solution that worked in my case, turn it off and fingers crossed it turns back on!

Go to general-settings and turn off from there. I had same issues and this resolved them.
