MacBook pro 16 inch battery not responding to charge

My MacBook Pro 16 inch battery is not responding to charging. It’s stocked on the black charge icon and I need my mac to work on photos

I have no idea what the at screen shot is supposed to demonstrate?


If you Mac is not charging:

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

Internal display you can run on the Integrated graphics, which typically run cooler.

>System Preferences>Energy Saver

External display however demand the Discrete graphics processor — and the Discrete GPU draws more power.

There have been numerous complaints the discrete graphics processor drawing large amounts of power, however Apple has provided no work-arounds or associated documentation.

Always connect to AC-power with an external display on MacBook Pro.
