replacing Trackpad foot?

One of the two rubber feet fell off my Magic Trackpad. IFixit has instructions for reinstalling the foot:

Has anyone replaced a foot on the Trackpad? I am looking for advice. My concern is the four clips that iFixit shows across the bottom of the Trackpad. I can see myself breaking one of those clips when I pry up the plastic cover of the Trackpad. I would prefer not to break anything on the Trackpad.

Does anyone have any advice on how to pull up the white plastic panel without breaking one or more clips?

TIA

Reinserting dislocated TrackPad feet? - Apple Community

"There is no need to take out the white plastic cover which I've seen it on the "Ifixtit". Instead, I just used a micro small slot screw and with lots of patience to squeeze in the outer ring! (Without a scratch)"
