iCloud email creation

Hi there,

I'm thinking of creating an iCloud email address. Currently my apple ID is used with a third party email, and I'd like to keep it that way. I do not currently have an iCloud email. I'm looking to set this up with mac os (system preferences > apple ID > iCloud left hand pane > tick "Mail" box > prompt to create iCloud email), and currently in Mail, my different third party emails work well separately. I'm worried that a) once I create this iCloud email, i will then need to change my apple ID to this, and in turn change all my logins that use Apple ID. and b) I don't want all my emails to merge into this one iCloud email on Mail or on my other devices. Are either of these two scenarios a possibility, and is there anything else i need to be aware of? I like the way everything is set up currently, hence my worry. (images to help) thanks!

If other devices ( like iPhone / iPad ) are signed in with same id and password say eaample1@gmail.com on the same network disconnect the devices by signing out individually ( iPhone and iPad ) https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT208242

Note : Apple ID sign out process is to sign out from an individual device .

The Mac will be separated from them having still signed an Apple ID say example1@gmail.com

Then sign out the Apple ID from Mac OS catalina 10.15.4

Click on keep on Mac .

Enter the Apple ID and password and click on continue .

The Apple ID is completely removed .

Now , click on create Apple ID you can use Apple ID say example2@icloud.com and follow the upcoming steps .

In iPhone and iPad the apple id will be example1@gmail.com and you will be able to send / receive mails from gmail server , the Mac is separated and having signed in with iCloud id say example2@icloud.com and the mails of devices will not mix up with Mac and vice versa .
