A bit off topic but...Connections for AJA U-Tap

Instead of going to the general discussions I thought I would try my reliable source and that is here. I plan on using a high end camera (JVC 850U) to live stream on Facebook Live using the U-Tap to get the signal into my iMac Pro. The AJA U-Tap has a USB-3 output port. What cable/adapter do I need?

Thank you in advance.

Stay safe.

Hi there, Thomas Whaley

Maybe I can help you....I don't know exactly what model/ year of iMac Pro you have, but most of the recent ones have a couple of USB 3.0 ports and Thunderbolt (USB-C), so by the looks of the AJA U-Tap, which has a USB 3.0 B connector on it, you'd need a USB 3.0 B to A cable. your high end camera does have an HDMI output, so you should be good to go, after you install the U-Tap's software, of course, which I presume you've already done.... AJA's website also mentions a firmware Update (1.x to 1.2) so you might want to do that as well. I didn't see any mention of Catalina support for the U-Tap, as the latest software is from 2017.....

that's all I got
