Turbotax no longer runs on MacOs Catalina

TurboTax 2019 stopped running on my mac. There are no messages, it just shuts down soon after I try to open.

I have tried overriding security settings by locating the app in Finder, and using Control-click to get a popup window, then selecting Open on the menu. This does not work any better.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Turbotax, and the problem persists.

Is there something else I can check? Turbotax 2018 still opens just fine, but not 2019.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

You say that TurboTax 2019 stopped running on your Mac. Was this version previously able to run? Has anything else changed or been done to your computer prior to this problem? To start, I would restart the computer in the safe mode. Hold down the shift key at restart. This can take up to 10 minutes to complete. During this process the os is 'cleaning' itself and fixing things. Then run Disk Aid until it reports no problems. Then restart normally and see if that helped. If not, please then report back and additional things can then be suggested. Good luck.

Ronasara;

The app quit while running. I had used it several times, and no issues. But, once it quit, I could not get it to run again.

I uninstalled the ap, then did as you suggested and rebooted in safe mode.

I then ran the disk aid, which reported no problem, but I ran it a second time just for giggles. I then reinstalled the ap, and got the same result.

The 2018 version of Turbotax still launches fine, but not the 2019 version, even after reinstalling from the downloads folder.

Any other ideas?
