Audio equaliser for Catalina
Why is the EQ available only when playing music on iTunes and not on other sound output like viewing YouTube videos? Or am I missing something in the settings?

You're welcome. There's nothing built-in. There may be third-party apps out there. Personally I don't bother with EQs. To use them correctly, one would have to change settings for every song/movie/video etc. Not something I would ever bother with.

Thanks dialabrain. That answers part one of my question. Part two: is there a setting somewhere to EQ audio playback of dvds/blu-rays, YouTube videos, CDs etc.? I've poked around Catalina and can't find any.
This is a users forum. No one here can answer why Apple does or doesn't do anything questions.
