Old phone
I have an old iPhone I would like to give to my 7 year old to be able to use under WiFi only. Currently if he messages someone it shows up under my name, I would like to set up his own account.

I suggest you follow the steps in the article below to make it 'his' phone.
Then create an Apple ID for him to use when you set the phone up as new.
If 13 years old or older.
If under 13 years old, you will need to set up Family Sharing to create an ID.
