Canon imageFORMULA DR-C225 II I am running OSX Mojave 10.14.6

Even though this scanner is listed as being compatible with MacBook Pro, I am still trying to get it to work with my laptop (which is my only computer).

I have spend the entire day today with Canon. Their representative did the same thing I did -- reloading driver and CaptureOnTouch. However the driver never shows up as an option for CaptureOnTouch to access. It also does not show up in system preferences under Printers/Scanners. Canon finally gave up and said to call Apple.

Apple spent a long time working on it, bumping it up to supervisor, etc... but their conclusion is it is not compatible because they were unable to get it to work either. (We can see that every time I have dowloaded and installed the scanner driver again, the date changes in my applications list. But it does not show up in System Preferences nor as an option in CaptureOnTouch.

I read on this site, before I purchased the scanner, that people have been able to get it working with their Apple computers.

I have not installed Catalina because I have read that other people's DR-C225 II scanners stopped working once Catalina was installed.

Now that we are working at home I need a scanner that works. Anyone know how to get this to work? If you don't do you know a scanner that is compatible?

VueScan supports the DR-C225 without any need for Canon software/drivers, though does not specifically mention the DR-C225 mk II model. Might be worth a test to download the trial VueScan to see if it will get you back to scanning again.

I am not affiliated with Hamrick Software, or receive any form of compensation for suggesting VueScan here. I have owned VueScan Professional since 2010, never paid an upgrade fee, and continue to use it with a Canon scanner that was unsupported when I purchased VueScan.
