When I try to update my Macbook pro, it says there are 6 incompatible updates. I'm unable to do quite a lot on my mac because of this and my chrome is out of date and won't update because of my Mac. Any ideas if and how I can resolve this? I am on OS X 10.9.5

!0.9.5 goes back quite a ways— being more current in the macOS would allow for some software updates

See where you fit in—jump to the bottom and check your specs...

Typically you are always better off running the most current macOS your machine will allow—especially for the built in security features.
