Importing GoPro Files from External Harddrive into Final Cut Pro

Hi!

Looking for some assistance with importing files. As of right now, I'm able to locate my external hard drive but no files are appearing in the final cut pro import window. If i drag and drop the same files onto the desktop they can be imported with no issue. Thinking it's how I have the external hard drive formatted but I've followed a few different tutorials to no avail. Looking forward to any help that can be provided to help me with all this extra time.

In addition to what Tom said: did you give Final Cut Pro "Full Disk Access" in System Preferences->Security & Privacy->Privacy?

How is the drive formatted and connect? Where does the drive appear in the import sidebar? Can you post a few screenshots of what you’re setting in import?
