itunes match - i still want song files to sync with iphone

i went to turn it off, and a warning came up that it would disable icloud music library, and i think that would remove the list of songs from my phone. and then sure, if i plug phone into laptop, it will sync the music...

but i don't want to turn off itunes match completely, what if i want to play music from my ipad. and if i turn off icloud music library on my itunes, it won't let me.

do you think turning it off on the iphone will only turn it off on that iphone, and not on my laptop and other apple devices?

gotcha, i guess the only way to get the songs on my phone, to be able to play them w/o internet later on, is to download playlists through the iphone's music app, with the little red download from cloud button.

i wish there was a way to manually copy them from computer to phone over USB, while still having itunes match and icloud music library activated. i tried dragging music from itunes to the iphone, but it didn't work.

it was hard to want to try any settings, like turning anything off or on, because it's a lot of music, and i didn't to wait for it to remove the list of songs, and then add them back again later. or if i turned off icloud music library, to then take the time to add songs, realize i didn't want to turn off itunes match completely, and then have them removed later, and have to redownload from cloud.
