Hi, on my dock I have system preferences. It has a red 1 notification there. When I open system preferences, it is by the software update. When I click on it, it says i'm up to date. The notification wont go away.

In the Finder, press command-shift-G; paste the following line:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.preferences.softwareupdate.plist
Drag the file to the trash and restart.
