Hello, there is this red number notification on my dock bar at the System Preferences icon:
When I open it I see the notification again:
But when I finally open the Software Update window, there are no updates to be installed:
This annoying notification has been there since I upgraded my system to the Catalina version. How do I get rid of it?

While in the Finder, press "command shift G", paste the above line into the window that opens and press Return. It will highlight the file for deletion.
