Mac OS Catalina update notification (RED DOT)

Hi, yesterday, I updated my OS, from Mojave to Catalina. After doing so, I noticed the system preferences keeps showing an Update available. But the red dot doesn't seem to go away. I doesn't affects in any way, but it is very annoying. Any Help?

Software Update Hello my MacBook Retina Late 2013 is MacOS Catalina 10.15.4, the system preferences is giving me a notification that I require an update. I have tried doing this is safe mode, and after a reboot. It states my Mac is up to date and yet the red circle indication is still there, any ideas?

System update red notification shows Dear Community! Under "macOS Catalina 10.15.4" I always have a red notification mark on my system settings icon on the Dock. Even though I click on it it sais that there is no available update to download. Even if i restart the mac it wont disappear and it makes me crazy. Does anyone know how to make it disappear? I know I could live with it but I have some sort of an OCD :D Thanks for your answers in advance! David

Catalina 10.15.4 I have the latest version of Catalina 10.15.4 on my MacBook Air, yet I have an update notification that there is an update available. I have the settings for all automatic updates ticked, and when I open System Preferences, it says my OS is up to date. There remains a red dot with a 1 in it on the SP icon. I have no idea what is going on!

Try closing Software Update, then remove /Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.preferences.softwareupdate.plist. Reboot the computer.
