iPhone 11 pro max spinning wheel of death

I woke earlier to find my iPhone with a black screen and a spinning wheel in the centre of the screen. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Recently updated to iOS 13.4.

Hi

press the up volume button, then the down volume button then press and hold the sleep/wake button to force restart your phone. It is important that you press and hold the sleep wake button and do not let go until the phone reboots itself when you see the Apple logo

You still see a black screen after charging, force restarting, following the steps in this article.
You see a black screen, but you can hear alerts, sounds, and vibrations.
The screen remains black, but the device chirps when you unmute it and connect it to power.
Your screen is on, but it doesn't respond when you tap, slide, or try other gestures.
You can't force your device to restart because a button is broken or stuck.
Your device is stuck on the Apple logo, displays a solid color, or isn't recognized in iTunes.

Hi,

From my experience, i believe that it is a software issue as it has never happened again. It was really scary to wake up to the spinning wheel and have the phone very hot, not good on a premium item.

In order to prevent a future occurrence, I now put my phone on charge at bedtime, turn it off then back on when I wake in the morning as I do not need it on over night.

Hi, 5 minutes is one heck of a long time, far too long. Give it another few tries then contact Apple Support for service/advice.

Hi!

I have new iphone 11 pro max for 3 days now and today I found the iphone in the same condition. I managed to reebot it and it worked but I’m worried it was very hot and did not charge at 100%. Is something I have to worry about? Or it’a 100% software problem?
