New iPhone suddenly overheated and won’t turn back on
I haven’t had my phone long but it was on the couch today and suddenly got really hot and turned off and now won’t turn back on. It’s not a hot day so I’m confused! Is this a faulty device?

If it does not turn on after having cooled back down it definitively may be defective and in need of service.
